Immunity-Boosting Shots (No Juicer Needed)

Everyone can use a bit of immune system support - whether it’s year-round, during cold/flu season, or if you’re just feeling under the weather. Whenever I’m feeling like my body needs a bit more support, I turn to nutrient-dense food to increase vitamins and minerals! I love this juice because it can be had as a single juice (it would be very strong) or prepped as shots to take throughout the week.

The ingredients in this are high in vitamin C, vitamin A, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatory properties. ALL the things you want when specifically giving your immune system a boost - helps the system feel safe, supported, and nourished.

This recipe can be made with or without a juicer. If using a juicer, it’s a little easier because the straining is done for you. If using a blender, you will need either a cheesecloth or nut milk bag to strain the pulp from the juice itself.

Happy juicing!

Ingredients:

  • 4 carrots

  • 2 oranges

  • 1 lemon

  • 2 medium knobs fresh ginger

  • 1 tbsp turmeric

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 2 cups filtered water

Recipe:

  1. Peel oranges, lemon, ginger. Chop carrots, oranges, lemon, ginger into smaller pieces so that it is easier to blend.

  2. Add all ingredients to a blender, including water. Blend until completely combined.

  3. Place a nut milk bag (or cheesecloth) in a large bowl, make sure it is open so that you can carefully strain the blended juice.

  4. Pour the contents of the blender into the nut milk bag. Slowly squeeze the bag to ensure all of the juice is squeezed from the pulp. Once only pulp remains in the bag, discard in the trash.

  5. Take the juice from the bowl and pour it into an airtight jar (I like mason jars or reusing pressed juice bottles). This will stay fresh in the grocery for up to one week!
